Ngoi Hut 1 hydropower project is located on the Ngoi Hut river in Van Yen District, Yen Bai Province.
Ngoi Hut 1 hydropower project shall exploit energy of the river with over 37m of water head. After running to irrigation canal, the water flows to return to Ngoi Hut stream.
With three (03) units of 8.4MW total installed capacity, Ngoi Hut hydropower plant has a duty to supply Yen Bai's 35kV power system of National power grid at 110/35/22KV-1x16MVA Nghia Lo substation and at 35KV transmission line.
